This is it. I have my character notes handy, my vision boards available, and my outline is complete. I even have a few real items owned by a couple of my fictional characters nearby for inspiration. I’m ready. The first draft of the first book in the San Antonio Psychic Private Investigator Series is underway.
If you’ve been following along, I’ve been sharing my word count each day. Following the advice of other successful writers, I’m starting with a low daily word count goal of 500 words. I think I can do it. I’m positive I can do it. Suddenly the “Little Engine That Could” is running through my head.
I’m one week into my first draft and already I’m making good headway. If I can keep this pace up, I should surpass 10,000 words by this coming Saturday! I hope you follow along to watch my progress.
